If you don't want to start over from scratch, consider buying an identical replacement window from a store like Lowe's or Home Depot — they sell many pre-hung windows that are ready to install right out of the box

3. Next, remove any screws holding your old window in place by unscrewing them with a screwdriver or wrench until they're free of their holes in the wall or floor. Then pull down on your new replacement window so that it comes away from your home's structure and lays flat against it (some models may require you to lower them slightly while pulling).
